Frequently asked questions
Is punch rounding legal?
Federal rules (29 CFR 785.48(b)) allow rounding to the nearest 5, 6 or 15 minutes if it averages out neutrally over time. Some states (e.g. California after Camp v. Home Depot, 2025) scrutinize rounding closely.
