Frequently asked questions
Is lunch paid?
Under federal law (29 CFR 785.19), bona fide meal periods of 30 minutes or more where you are fully relieved of duty are unpaid. Short breaks of 5–20 minutes are paid work time.
Can I punch out and back in for lunch?
Yes. Click “+ pair” on a day to enter a second in/out pair. The gap between pairs is unpaid automatically.
